Last night, our VBS began at Sherrod Avenue. The theme is Egypt and the kids will be learning about the story of Moses. To kick off VBS, our church presented a skit to the congregation of the story of baby Moses. Will and I were asked to play the parts of baby Moses and Jochabed. Will did great! He didn't even make a peep and had his eyes WIDE open the entire time. I couldn't help but laugh a little when I placed "Moses" in the basket because my little boy gave me the most puzzling look as if to say "What in the world is going on here, Mommy?"
We had to add a little bit to the scriptures by making sure Will had his pacifier with him in the basket :)
Here are a few pictures from last night. Sorry, Sara. We forgot the Flip video camera, but Alan did remember to bring our camera for pictures.

This was during last minute rehearsals. I love how Will has his hand on my coat. He loves to hold on to my clothing whenever I'm holding him.

I didn't quite hear all of it, but Alan said it went somewhat like this:
"Bring me the Hebrews!
Work them hard!
Build me a pyramid
In my yard!"

I still can't believe how well Will did! I had fun, too and made sure NOT to look directly at the audience for fear that I might get stage fright and forget my lines :)
I think we will have to go back tonight and see all of the rooms that have been decorated. We went home right after the skit because we had already been there over 2 hours for practice and a short church service prior to kicking off VBS.
Will was asleep by 8:15 and slept until almost 5 this morning! All that acting wore him out!
Thanks for checking in...

Love the pictures. Man, I am hating now that we didn't just stay and see you and Dad and Will do your thing!
I'm impressed with the stage. Very cool!
