Sheepskin Rug

Will takes many naps on his sheepskin rug these days. It is so soft and warm and he loves it!

I also love the rug for its sentimental value. Sara, Michael and I had one of these rugs as babies and I became very attached to mine. It was "loved" so much that it practically fell apart. Mom tells me that long after the rug had been disposed, I found a small piece of it in the house and excitedly yelled "my rug!" I carried that small piece with me for a while :)

My parents got the first sheepskin rug for Sara when they were living as missionaries in New Zealand. Sara was born there and lived there for the first 6 months of her life before my family moved back to Nashville, TN.

When Sara was pregnant with Camden, my parents' first grandchild, Mom gave her a sheepskin rug. She actually ordered it from a company based in New Zealand.

Michael and Stephanie now have a rug for Carter and I have one for Will.

It has now become one of many family traditions that I cherish.

Thanks for checking in...
