OB visit

We're now at the home stretch. 38 week OB appointment this morning. Here's the stats:

• My BP: 128/78
• Will's heart rate: nurse didn't tell me this time, but I still heard a strong heartbeat.
• My body's "progression" thus far: dilated 3 cm and 60% effaced!

I realize I could stay at this point for a while, but I'm really thinking that this little boy may come any day now. I've had some consistent contractions since Saturday evening and Will HATES for me to be in the upright position (sitting or standing.) I'm feeling a lot of pain whenever I'm sitting or standing and haven't had any heartburn for at least 2 days now (I was working on polishing off a BIG bottle of TUMS over the last 2 weeks.)

So, the doctor's "plan" is to check me at next Monday's appt (39 weeks) and then will schedule an induction the middle of next week. He prefaced all of that with "if he doesn't come before your next appointment."

I'm planning to continue working at the hospital through this Wednesday and will then take some time off before my baby boy arrives.

However, GOD has His plans already set and I can't wait to find out when He decides it's time for Will to come see us!
