The Job Hunt...

I haven't posted an entry in so long!!! Sorry...

Well, I am now officially on the job hunt. After doing some serious thinking and praying, I have decided to look for jobs in North Alabama close to my parents' house. This will allow me to live at home for a while and save, save, save!!! Hopefully, I'll be able to save enough in a shorter amount of time to buy a house. Plus, I've found out that there are a lot of job opportunities in the north alabama area.

I went on my first interview today. Because I don't have any others to compare it with, I can't say whether it was a great interview or a not so great interview. I wasn't very nervous and just showed the people who "Dinah" is - those of you who know me really well may think that wasn't the brightest idea :) This is an outpatient clinic in Muscle Shoals, which is a 20 minute drive from Florence. Not that different from my commutes to school or clinicals in Nashville. I liked the facility a lot and the other therapists. If offered this job, and if I accept it, I'll be the only full-time PT there. So, that will be interesting. There is another PT that works part-time. I know her pretty well and she's really nice. I know that I could learn a lot from her, too. Also, all of the paperwork is on a computer system- that's a bonus! The guy showed me how it works and it looks fairly straight forward and simple to use once I learn the system. I need to just sit down and make a list of the pros and cons of this job (if they offer it to me.)

I was asked questions like "Which professor at Belmont did you like the most and why? and Which professor did you not like the most?" " What are your 3 strengths as a PT? What do I think I need to improve on?" My close friends at Belmont will probably know which professor I did not like. I didn't mention the name, but I'm sure that you all could guess who it is. Sara, you could probably guess who it is... Anyway, I think it went well and I am supposed to hear back from them on Friday. I'll let you know what I find out.

In the mean time, I have another interview in Huntsville tomorrow and a possible third interview on either Wednesday or Thursday. I'm praying that God will show me where I am to work... It kind of stresses me out.

Dinah-
I'm sure you will find an awesome job that God will lead you to. Any clinic would be lucky to have you. I will keep you in my prayers and good luck with all the interviews!
