And we found him!
He is a Beagle mix (with what looks to be possibly Jack Russell Terrier)
and his name on the website is "Nudge." My second choice to a Dacshund was a beagle, and Alan's was a Jack Russell Terrier. So I guess we both got what we wanted.
Not only did the picture convince us to get him, but the name did too.
So, on Tuesday we'll be bringing him home. I've got a LOT of learning to do, being that I never had a pet my entire life thus far. Growing up in the Hall family, Alan has always had a dog. So he's the expert right now. Depending on his size as an adult,
he may or may not be an "inside" dog.
He'll be about 7 weeks old when we get him.

Aw! Precious baby! We adopted our dogs (both beagle-mixes) and they are so sweet! They are totally my children. :) Enjoy your new baby!

he's cccuuuuttteee!!! speakin from someone who never had a dog before darla....it's tough! but ya'll have a backyard so you'll do great! Oscar, our 2nd teenie weenie..proud to say potty trained - 6 mos old! it's so obtainable!! i was HORRIBLE with darla! he's precious can't wait to see more pics!! good luck...

1 - get a plant, if it survives
2 - get a dog, if it survives
3 - make some babies
He is SO CUTE!! I just love dogs. We got Toby from the shelter too. He's a terrier mix, definitely has some Jack Russell & we're not sure what else. I love the name Nudge! What a cutie!
He is absolutely adorable :-)
