I'm engaged! On Saturday, September 15, Alan proposed to me on the old train bridge over the Tennessee River near downtown Florence. It was so perfect. I was NOT expecting it at all, nor did I know that he had previously asked my parents' permission to marry me earlier that week. Sneaky, sneaky!

I've posted a few pictures that we took on the bridge before the proposal. If I had known that it would be a proposal, I wouldn't have worn my "pregnant" looking shirt.

I think it's beautiful! The date has not been set at the moment, but we are contemplating a few dates in April/May of 2008.
I'll keep you posted...

Yeah! I'm catching up on e-mail today after our Destin trip and I'm so glad you put a picture of the ring on your blog because I was dying to see it and I'm not sure when I'll be in Nashville at the same time as you. It is beautiful and I'm so excited and happy for you! He probably already knows this full well, but tell Alan what a lucky guy he is to get a lifetime prescription to Dinahol!
