Sara has tagged me to write 50 things about me. So, here it is:
1. I am 27 years old and still don't have my ears pierced.
2. I am NOT a neat freak. I do well just to keep my clothes off of my bedroom floor, which is not very often.
3. My childhood nickname is "Pogger." When I was pre-school age, my dad used to call me a "possum" or a '"booger." One day my mom asked me "What are you, Dinah?" I replied, "I'm a pogger!" So, the nickname stuck (for way too many years...)
4. I can't start my day without eating breakfast.
5. I could eat cereal for every meal for the rest of my life.
6. I was born in Nashville, TN
7. I played softball in college
8. I listen to The Rick and Bubba Show every morning while I get ready for work, and on my commute.
9. No one can ever pronounce my first name correctly when I first meet them. I always say, "No, it's DINAH. Like Dinah Shore."
10. I am very competitive. I've tried to tone it down a bit over the last few years.
11. I secretly love MadLibs
12. I can't read a MadLibs aloud without laughing really hard.
13. My mom went into labor with me while she was sitting in Ladies Bible Class at Ashwood Church of Christ (now known as Woodmont Hills Family of God) while Rubel Shelly was teaching.
14. I have 2 Alabama High School State Softball Championship rings. One was for Slowpitch and the other for Fastpitch.
15. I am the only member of my family to get a technical foul in a basketball game. Did I mention I was competitive??? I'm not proud of this one.
16. When I lived by myself or have to stay at home by myself for a few days, I always lock my bedroom door at night. That way, I'll have time to call the police if someone is trying to get me. Weird, huh.
17. I drive a 1998 Ford Mustang. It's paid for, so I hope to drive it for several more years.
18. I have locked my keys in my car with the car running. A true blonde moment!
19. I love to do number fill-ins and Sudoku
20. When I started 1st grade, my Dad had to carry me into my classroom every morning while I was kicking and screaming for 2 whole weeks. He tells me that he had to chase me around the van in the parking lot one morning.
21. I can't stay up much past 10:00, even on the weekends.
22. I have naturally curly hair, but I straighten it every day.
23. I am the only one in my family with blonde hair.
24. I CANNOT get a suntan. I just burn and then peel. It's SPF 30 or above for me.
25. I love to shop, but refuse to pay full price for anything.
26. I have a dress that I sometimes wear to church that only cost me 99 cents!
27. I am a HUGE Vanderbilt Commodores fan. Go 'Dores!
28. Yes, I have often called a Large Mouth Bass an Open Mouth Bass.
29. I didn't eat seafood until I was in college.
30. I love to play board games.
31. I have a knack for picking up nails in my tires. Recently, I purchased a new tire because the old one had a nail in it. Two weeks later I blew out the same tire while driving home from work.
32. I love to go hiking. Thank you, Alan, for introducing me to "real hikes."
33. When I was in Junior High, I participated with my church youth group in a simulated Refugee Camp and spent the entire night in a cardboard box. It was in November. That's the only camping experience I've had.
34. I love to play volleyball.
35. I wish that I enjoyed running. I don't have the patience to run longer than a mile.
36. I'm not very disciplined with reading the Bible or praying.
37. I am obsessed with FRIENDS and own all the seasons on DVD.
38. I still don't know how to best wear make-up and have no clue how to buy the right shades/colors for me.
39. I enjoy looking at Homestarrunner.com (It makes no sense, but is hilarious to me.)
40. When I was little, I sucked my thumb and rubbed a chunk of my hair on my upper lip. Don't ask me why I did that because I don't have an answer.
41. I have had one perm and will never have one again. I was in the 4th grade and I distinctly remember walking into my class the day after I got it and a boy looked at me and laughed out loud. It apparently scarred me for life because I do not like my naturally curly hair.
42. I can't do simple math anymore without a calculator. I tried to teach Camden that 8 + 2 = 9, but he didn't fall for it.
43. I love to buy shoes and have way too many in my closet
44. My co-workers laugh at me because I'm so cold-natured. I wear long sleeved shirts in the summer.
45. I never finish a soft drink. I open the can, drink about half of it, and put it back in the fridge. And I forget that it's in there...
46. I am addicted to watching: What Not to Wear, How do I Look?, House Hunters, and Designed to Sell.
47. Mulan is one of my favorite movies.
48. I always order a Caramel Apple Cider at Starbucks
49. I love to play Guitar Hero
50. I'm 27 years old, but often get mistaken for a teenager. I was carded at the mall in Huntsville because I didn't look like I was 18! It gets pretty annoying sometimes.
Well, that's 50! I now tag Anna, Judy, Leslie, Mandy, and Jeremy. You must list 50 facts about yourselves. Have fun. I'm off to bed to watch HGTV and work on a Sudoku while I drink half of a soft drink. :)

Oh great! I don't have for this.... and I'm pretty sure I don't have 50 things about me to write either...
:)
Yep, sounds like the sister I know and love too. Good job - although I admit I was hoping to learn some things I didn't already know. I was surprised by the "love hiking" part though. Didn't realize you felt that strongly about it.
Okay, so that was a little easier than I thought!! ;)
That was fun! I've enjoyed seeing the things I have in common with other people. Thanks for including me. Maybe one day your sister will be able to convince you to embrace your curls ;-)
Hope you enjoyed your half of a soft drink...
I do that door lock thing (#16) when Brad is on call. It makes me feel more secure too.
Someone recently mistook me for a teenager too (#50)-- Someone knocked on our door and gave me a pamphlet for someone running for office. They thought I wasn't old enough to vote and asked me to give the pamphlet to my parents when they got home! :)
We have so much in common that I didn't even realize! And I was there for #33. Jay Matthews sat on my box. While I was in it. Were you in my box? I don't remember who I was with...but it was 2 other girls...
Haha, Dinah that was very entertaining and I have realized...we should have been better friends! I have a really hard time staying up past 10 on the weekends as well, ALWAYS eat breakfast, and I too and not very disciplined in reading my Bible and praying continually, unfortunately...although once I learned that talking to God was really just an ongoing conversation with my best friend, it got a little better:) Great list!
I miss you too! I can't believe we lost touch for so long. As for my being a rebel, having a belly button ring proved the safest form of rebellion for me. I could rebel without people knowing it. I mean, the list of people who saw my belly was very, VERY small :-)
Feel free to give your former classmate my name. I'd love to help him get plugged in up here. If he needs help finding a place to live or a place to worship, just let us know. Because of our connection to the divinity school, Chad and I know folks in churches throughout the triangle area from Baptist to Methodist to Church of Christ to Presbyterian...you name a denomination, and we probably have friends in it!
Yes, I was there for number 33 too. I remember swinging a stick and hitting someone on the ankle. I'm sure you were cold and possibly scared. But as an "intruder" that night, I had a blast.
Move to Atlanta. Everything is better there. :)
I LOVED reading your list!!!!
