Sorry if any of you have queasy stomachs. :( This happened around August of last year, and that's the last time he's gone mountain biking by himself. He was very lucky to not have any broken bones or closed head injury from going head first into the side of a hill! God was watching out for him that day.
Anyway, since this accident, he's picked up road cycling with a group of people. There are times that he will ride by himself, but those times are few and far between. He usually rides every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon and most Saturdays, if he's not working. For the last several months we've been talking about and shopping for a bike for me. As of this week, I am now the owner of a Trek 2009 model. It's so new that there are no pictures of this bike yet. It was ordered this week and I hope to have it by next weekend. It may take a few months of training before I am able to ride the 30-60 miles that Alan and his group rides each time, but I'm gonna work on it. I may be at the back of the group every time, but I'm going to enjoy sharing something else with my husband! He's been wanting me to start riding for a long time and I am excited to be starting soon.
As soon as I get the bike I'll post a picture of it on my blog.
